About Us
Roundabout Canberra has been established since 2018 to rehome used and new baby and children’s items to vulnerable families. We work with over 90 social services agencies to provide safe and clean items to children in need, for free. We are a community funded, volunteer powered organisation with over 250 volunteers who perform a range of roles in our premises, such as sorting donations of toys and clothing, performing safety checks and cleaning prams and cots so that they are in a safe and clean condition for their new family. There are 9000 children living in poverty in the ACT. Last year we helped 2000; this year we expect the need to grow.
How we will use the funds
For $100 we can provide a tailored mix of essential items such as clothing, linen, toys, books, toiletries, cots, prams, car-seats and highchairs for an average value of $450 given to each child. Your generous donation will help us to provide our essential community service to help parents and carers facing financial hardship, mental health, domestic violence, isolation, and disability feel a sense of financial relief, experience less stress, improved mental health and community support
