MARSS Australia Inc. (Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services) is the leading service delivery hub for new and recently arrived refugees and migrants to settle in to the ACT and surrounding regions. We work to ensure that all refugees and migrants to the ACT are welcomed and supported to make their home in our wonderful community and to access services to improve their physical and mental wellbeing, particularly refugee clients affected by past torture and trauma.

?Our mission is to be a leader in the provision of settlement and related services for migrants, refugees and humanitarian entrants in the ACT and region, in a caring, supporting and enabling way. We provide comprehensive settlement support including English language and literacy training, vocational education and training, emergency relief and financial literacy training, driver education, after school programs, housing and accommodation services and employment services. We also support Canberra's multicultural communities to actively participate and share their cultures with the Canberra community.

Starting out as a Migrant Resource Centre, MARSS' integrated service delivery approach is supported by our community based membership model and partnerships with government, business and community service organisations across the region.

Funds raised for MARSS as part of the Canberra Day Appeal will support our range of programs and services (www.marss.org.au) and in particular MARSS' Volunteering program. Our wonderful volunteers donate their time, skills and expertise to provide additional support to clients through their settlement journey and particularly through education and pathways to employment.

Funds will support the coordination of our programs and services, direct emergency and crisis support for clients and coordination of MARSS volunteer programs.
