About Us
Good Omen Goodeze Inc (affectionately known as GOG) began life as a Canberra based community needle-craft group providing personalised hand-crafted comfort Goodies, for patients and their loved ones in need of comfort or warmth in the Canberra Hospital. We have proudly been supplying patients and families of the Canberra Health Services since May 2017 and the University of Canberra Hospital since 2019. This includes patients in all areas, with a special focus on the Intensive Care Unit, Aged Care and End of Life Care.
In February 2019 we successfully piloted a Knitting for Mindfulness Program within The Canberra Hospital. In September 2020 GOG applied for and won a ‘Covid19 Mental Health Innovations Grant which gave us the opportunity to provide a similar wellness program to the wider Canberra Community.
How will your donation help?
Fundraising allows our group to continue with the important role of providing handmade gifts to patients and families who seek treatment at Canberra Hospital.

Hello, I was with my 18 month daughter today at the hospital because after three days of no sleep due to her fever I left the stair gate open and she fell down the stairs. She was fine but we were there for four hours of monitoring. The volunteer at the hospital saw my daughter running around (yes, she really was fine), and gave her a GOG toy, signed by MJ. We are so, so grateful. After such a long day she held on tight to that toy while getting her heel prick and other tests. It was just so kind, and meant a lot in such a difficult time. She cuddled it all afternoon, and I suspect it will be a favourite. Thank you.
