About Us
Marymead works to ensure that children, young people and their families, including those who are most vulnerable across Canberra and the surrounding NSW regions, are well supported through their key life transitions and are able to achieve positive life outcomes and live fulfilling, productive and happy lives.
With offices in Canberra and in NSW at Goulburn, Moruya, Young and Wagga Wagga, Marymead’s array of programs and services include child and family counselling, early intervention programs, Permanency Program (out-of-home care), post separation support, the Autism Centre, parent education groups, family and mental health support programs and contact and changeover services for separated parents in significant conflict.
Marymead also offers innovative, person-centred support services for people with disability and their families. These services may be purchased through funds received under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and include short term accommodation, after-school care and school holiday programs, skills development, recreation groups and in-home support.
Marymead has been delivering a range of high quality, family support services to children, young people and their families since 1967.
How your donation will help
Marymead are thrilled to again participate in The Hands Up 4 CBR Giving Day Appeal. This is a fantastic way to engage with our community, for our community.
In 2022, all dollars raised for Marymead via the Giving Day initiative will again contribute to the Marymead Auxiliary annual totals.
The Auxiliary are a volunteer group established in 1966 to raise funds in support of the services provided by Marymead. Heavily supported by volunteers and community organisations, the Auxiliary raise funds via events such as the Annual Fete, Autumn and Spring Plant Sales, Cards Days, Online Auctions, Monster Garage Sales and the Government House Spring Morning Tea.
The Auxiliary play a pivotal role in providing a major source of non-government funds for the organisation.
In 2022, the Marymead Auxiliary with support from initiatives such as the Hands Up 4 CBR Giving Day Appeal raised a record amount of $125,000.
