About Us
We are ACT's first womens shed and operate across two sites- Thor's Hammer on Saturdays and Hughes Community Shed on Tuesdays. The Womens Shed Canberra is a space for women of all ages to feel empowered by acquiring power tools competency to manage and improve day to day lives.
How your donation will help
Since our inception in Sept. 2020 our members have become proficient in using power tools, making new pieces of furniture and repairing things in their homes. Our members through restoration projects have saved furniture pieces from going to the tip, adding to circular economy. We create a space for multi-generational interaction, engagement and cohesion by providing a safe space for women to make their dreams come true.
