About Us
UnitingCare Kippax is a local, for purpose, community organisation that seeks to improve wellbeing.
We work with a wide range of people regardless of age, race, gender, sexual preference, ability, faith or religious affiliation. While the majority of the people who use our services live in the north-western areas of the ACT, we do not prevent people from seeking support based on geography.
UnitingCare Kippax is located in a community that is gradually ageing but is also linked to a new development that is likely to bring a greater number of young families to the area. We are experiencing an increase in demand from people who are being affected by housing stress and those who need support for their mental wellbeing (both of which may be outflows from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic). We are extending our work with young people, especially through the training and personal support programs. We have strong connections to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and quite a high rate of use of the emergency relief program by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
How your donation will help
As with many other charities and community services, UnitingCare Kippax has been hit hard by the impacts of the pandemic. More people need our support. We need to be able to reach out in new ways to assist people when they cannot come to us. We are working hard to support our staff as they offer support to others during difficult times.
To continue to do this important work, we need your support. We are asking our Canberra community and businesses to make a commitment to the organisation that we can rely on, so that our service users can continue to rely on us. Could you or your business consider contributing financial support this year to help us help others?
A big thank you to our Supporters

I’m donating as I’d like to help someone get back on their feet as I’ve also done it tough.
