About Us
Can you imagine being pregnant or a new parent with bushfires, smoke then a global pandemic? It's been scary and isolating even for the most resilient among us.
An Accredited Mental Health Service, Perinatal Wellbeing Centre (formerly PANDSI) provides perinatal mental health support to clients from pregnancy until their youngest child reaches two years of age.
We care for over 800 local families each year and have experienced significant surges in demand - in one month alone telephone counselling sessions increased by 57%. Recent studies show that 1 in 5 women and 1 in 10 men experience perinatal anxiety and/or depression symptoms which amounts to over 1,100 Canberra families impacted every year.
In addition to a comprehensive telephone/email counselling service, Perinatal Wellbeing Centre offers a range of programs and workshops designed to provide mental, emotional and physical benefits to those experiencing perinatal depression, anxiety, stress and/or are finding it challenging adjusting to parenting.

Thanks for The creche during Covid, it was fun and special. Perinatal is a truly amazing foundation that I hope continues for centuries since it touches on many vital topics behind the scenes of parenthood. The foundation is extremely helpful(especially if you don't know the first thing about being a parent or even an adult since you never truly matured) Thanks perinatal, keep doing what you're doing because what you're doing is amazing xx
