About Us
Thousands of Australians live each day with a neurological condition. MS Plus (MS Plus Limited: ABN 66 004 942 287) is one of Australia’s leading sources of information, advice and support services for people living with MS and other neurological conditions.
Based in Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania and the ACT, we have over 60 years of insight into how to live well with MS. We pride ourselves on being trusted experts in MS, while supporting a broader range of neurological conditions.
As one of Australia’s leading not-for-profits, we also work tirelessly to fund research into the causes and treatments for MS and ultimately a cure.
We offer a wide range of emotional and practical support, from allied health, employment services and NDIS services to expert advice, well being programs and peer support.
What Is Multiple Sclerosis?
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic and often debilitating disease which attacks the central nervous system (the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves). There is currently no cure. It is the most common neurological disease in young adults and often attacks people at the time of their lives when they are planning families and building a career.
The average age of diagnosis is between 20 and 40 years of age, although symptoms may begin much earlier, and three out of four people
living with multiple sclerosis are women.
No two cases of multiple sclerosis are identical and the severity and
progression of the condition cannot be predicted.
How your donation will help
Multiple sclerosis (MS) affects thousands of Australians and is the leading cause of disability in young adults. We provide vital support and services to people living with neurological conditions, but we can’t do it without your help.
The funds donated through the Hands Across Canberra Giving Day will help the people living in the Canberra region with MS get the vital support they need to meet their goals and live well, and ensure that no one has to face MS alone.
Your donation has the power to change lives.
