About Us
Diversity ACT is a community based, registered charity, run by volunteers that provides a service hub, support networks, groups and community resources to assist the LGBTIAQ+ community of the ACT region. We operate out of the Diversity Hub in Kambah, ACT, and have a diverse membership that includes other organisations, service providers, and individuals who share our vision and values for the ACT LGBTIAQ+ community.
How your donation will help
We are raising funds for our support groups. This includes Queer Youth Together (QyouT pronounced “cute”), and Southside Women (SSW). QyouT is a program for young people (age 12 to 24) within the sexuality and gender diverse community. QyouT provides a safe space for community connection, learning, mindfulness and fun. SSW provides a safe space for community connection, learning, mindfulness and fun for lesbian, bisexual, same sex attracted transgender women, non-binary, asexual and queer women.
The funds will provide resources for group activities and inclusivity improvements. These improvements will include translations of group resources into the common languages spoken in Tuggeranong (Arabic, Vietnamese, Nepali & Mayalam).
