All donations matched x2*
*All donations matched x2 until matched funding runs out. Each charity partner listed above has been allocated $5,000 in matched funding. Once their $5,000 cap is reached ($10,000 in total donations), donations will no longer be matched but your donation will still count! And remember, any donation to a charity over $2 is tax deductible!
Hands Up for Canberra Giving Day
There are so many worthy charities, it can be tough deciding who to donate to. Through this Appeal you have the ability to choose one of many that speaks to your heart.
With your support, on 9 March 2021 the Hands Up for Canberra Giving Day will see many of our local charities and organisations access much-needed funds for the essential work they do, such as:
Helping the 1 in 200 people
who are homeless (second highest rate in Australia)
Providing support services
to the 1 in 4 young people facing mental health problems
Offering a helping hand
to the 1 in 6 young people with caring responsibilities
Assisting the 1 in 25 people
with a severe or profound disability to live a full life
Together, we can support our local charities and organisations, while continuing to assist those Canberrans who need it most.
After the unpredictable year of 2020, many Canberrans were left in a vulnerable state with most of their daily needs put at risk.
That is why this appeal is so important, as we ensure that the local issues remain addressed and supported by the charities who ensure that those who need it most are cared for.
By supporting the Hands UP for Canberra Giving Day, you will be supporting our local charities and community organisations through Hands Across Canberra (HAC). HAC is a local not-for-profit organisation who creates pathways and connections, joining those who have funds and time to donate with those who need the assistance.
With your support Hands Across Canberra can continue to provide essential support to our community.

Why should I support Hands Across Canberra?
By supporting Hands Across Canberra through the Hands Up for Canberra Giving Day, you will be supporting our local charities and community organisations, helping them support our most vulnerable people.
As Canberra’s community foundation, Hands Across Canberra is connecting those with funds and time to give, with those who need help and support.
