About Us
Women with Disabilities ACT (WWDACT) is Disabled Person's Organisation (DPO) that practices systemic advocacy on behalf of women, girls, feminine identifying, and non-binary people with disabilities in the ACT. We follow a human rights philosophy, based on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
How your donation will help
WWDACT will use funds raised in a number of way to improve the organisation and how we advocate for Women with Disabilities in the ACT.
We will do this by:
- Creating accessible resources, such as brochures and videos to raise awareness of issues and topics that affect women and non-binary people with disabilities
- Creating more community outreach workshops and meet up opportunities for our community
