About Us
For more than 40 years, Toora Women have supported Canberra's most vulnerable women. We provide safe, respectful support for all women experiencing and escaping family and domestic violence, homelessness, alcohol and other drug dependencies and the criminal justice system. We provide crisis, transitional, and longer term accommodation, along with outreach support, AOD day program and counselling, allowing Toora to provide a wrap-around services for each woman who accesses our services.
How your donation will help
Your donation will make a real difference to support vulnerable and at-risk women and children in need in our Canberra community today.
$100 helps provide a week of simple meals for a woman and her children.
$150 helps one woman and her children receive warm bedding, doonas and blankets.
$500 helps provide emergency support for a woman and her children who have to leave their home quickly due to domestic violence.
$1000 helps provide six sessions of counselling for a woman who has experienced trauma.
$2500 helps provide childcare for one woman to attend our eight-week alcohol and other drug day program.
All donations, big or small help us empower women and support their return to better living situations safely, respectfully and with choice.
