The St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn who has provided practical and compassionate essential services to those in need for decades in Canberra and the surrounding regions. 

Every day we assist hundreds of people experiencing homelessness or disadvantage. This level of support is only possible by the generosity and compassion of our donors.

How your donation will help

Funds raised through this appeal will help us continue supporting our St Nicholas’ Young Carers Program and camps for young people experiencing disadvantage. 

The program aims to offer a place to connect with others who share relatable life experiences and engage with positive adult role models. Young Carers are young people who provide unpaid care and support to a family member who lives with a chronic illness or disability. These young people often sacrifice a lot to provide care for their loved ones.

We also offer respite activities and holiday programs, allowing young people (aged 9-17 years) in Canberra the opportunity to build social confidence and life-long resilience, explore new experiences in a “safe-to-fail” environment and, most importantly, to have fun!

$25 - will provide access for one young carer to participate in community activity

$50 - will provide access for two young carers to participate in community activity

$100 - will provide access for four young carers to participate in community activity

$500 - will cover total cost for a young carer to attend five day overnight camp
