About Us
St John’s Care aims to bridge the gap and break the cycle of disadvantage, isolation and economic hardship with compassion, advocacy, respect and encouragement through the provision of emergency relief and other programs. We seek to respond to human needs by offering help and support to those who struggle with low income and social disadvantage issues. We are a grassroots community, staffed by volunteers and professionals, working together to help some of the most vulnerable people in our Canberra community. We are funded primarily through donations from community and church groups, businesses and individuals
How we will use the funds
Your wonderful donation will provide emergency assistance in the form of food, fresh fruit and vegetables. It will also help us to provide clothing, prescription filling, bus fares, blankets and a limited amount of financial help to meet the basic requirements of people in need. Most of our clients cannot afford to put food on the table on a regular basis. Any gift is wonderful.
