About Us
Canberra City Care is an organisation that has been serving the Canberra community for 21 years and provides a diverse range of services, including a Food Pantry, Second Hand Op Shop, Affordable IT services and sales, a community kitchen and a garden. We also provide NDIS and Employment programs opportunities to support people to find meaningful work and develop confidence and competencies. Canberra City Care is run primarily by about 50 volunteers and receives no Government funding.
How will your donation help?
This year our focus will be on establishing a safe and inviting Community Cafe at our centre in Charnwood. We believe such a space will encourage our volunteers and customers to spend time and provide opportunities to provide broader support and encouragement. We will need to provide furniture and equipment to set up a professional and welcoming space.
